IBM drew 6,500 attendees from around the world to its second annual Information on Demand conference, which took place in October in Las Vegas. Big Blue used the opportunity to announce many new products and services, including a closed beta program of its new master data management platform and updates to its Information Server. SearchDataManagement.com wanted to know which product announcements really resonated with users -- and what people are still talking about now that the event is over.

We also wanted to know more about emerging trends in the data management market and what next-generation data technologies IBM has in the works. So, we called on Mark Register, vice president, marketing, information management to learn more. This podcast was recorded before IBM announced plans to acquire Cognos and focuses more on infrastructure technologies.

  • Find out which products announced at IBM's 2007 Information on Demand conference are generating the most interest in the market now
  • Get a succinct explanation of how IBM defines Information on Demand and what products are part of this initiative
  • Hear how IBM plans to rationalize and integrate its many acquisitions into current and new products
