In DB2, how do I convert a NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT column to NULL? I don't want to drop the table and recreate. Is this possible with an ALTER statement?

Unfortunately, the answer to your question is "no", it is not possible to change a column to be null without dropping it, and then recreating it.
