The LEVEL parameter of the pre-compile process can be used to override DB2's consistency token. The value supplied to the LEVEL parameter is used by DB2 to generate the consistency token. Using LEVEL you can change the source code of the program and as long as you do not change any SQL you can get away without rebinding the plan or package. This is not a practice to be undertaken lightly and it is not supported in the DSNH CLIST or the DB2 Program Preparation panels in TSO.
