Will the DB2 updates be committed as part of the two-phase commit?

If a CICS application calls a DB2 Stored procedure (that has done DB2 updates) and then issues a syncpoint, will the DB2 updates be committed as part of the two-phase commit? Assume that the Stored Procedure was not setup with the commit on return option and there were no commits coded in the stored procedure.
A stored procedure such as you describe will become part of the unit of work that it was called from. As such, when that unit of work is committed (such as by issuing a CICS syncpoint), the stored procedure work will be committed, too.
