Do you foresee any upcoming trends for data warehousing and database management systems (DBMS)?

I think that solid state disks (SSD) are way too underutilized in databases. The performance of these disks is quite remarkable. True, they are expensive, but their use for the hot data (that which is accessed frequently) in databases can be outstandingly cost effective.
