I am a newbie in DB2 world. Can I get access to the DB2 Catalog tables online? Can you please take a second and point me in the right direction?

To access the DB2 Catalog tables you must have the proper security to run SQL SELECT statements against those tables. That authority must be granted by either your DBAs or your security control group, depending upon who at your company controls DB2 security. Many companies grant the ability to select from the test DB2 Catalog to the public. This may not be the case at your company. If you are talking about the production DB2 Catalog, your company policy may prohibit you from accessing those tables.

The type of security you need is simply a "grant select on a table" [a list of all catalog tables] to your-userid;
