Q

Any risks running a PL/I or COBOL program generated with the V7 SQL-Precompiler under DB2 V5?

Are there any risks when we run a PL/I or COBOL program generated with the V7 SQL-Precompiler under DB2 V5?

Well, the big problem I can anticipate would be if the program uses a feature or SQL construct that is supported in V6 or V7 (and hence was allowed by the V7 pre-compiler). Running a V6/V7 feature under V5 will cause the statement/program to fail. Why would you want to do such a thing? If you are still running on V5, use the V5 pre-compiler to be sure you do not cause problems of this nature (or of any other nature).
